Alice K Brown BSc(Hons) BVSc MRCVS

We are very happy to welcome our new vet Alice Brown to the practice. Alice has a considerable range of equine veterinary expertise having secured an internship at the highly regarded Bell Equine Clinic and followed this with 4 years working at Chine House, Leicestershire’s largest equine hospital. Alice has a particular interest in lameness and equine sports medicine. Alice is based at our Somerby clinic and is available to visit clients in the Oakham and Melton areas.

Entering the Digital Age

Gibson & Lee have invested in a new state of the art, portable digital X ray system. This allows X ray images to be viewed instantly without the need for processing. Horses can be X rayed at your yard or alternatively brought to one of the clinics.

Ultrasound Scanning

We have also purchased a new Titan ultrasound machine. Designed for use by the US Army, this high quality portable scanner is capable of producing hospital standard scans in your stable.

Equine Surgery

In order to improve our service to clients, we are developing a small surgical facility at Tower Farm. This will allow us to perform minor elective surgery as required. For major operations, we will continue to call on the expertise of large referral hospitals at Newmarket and Leicester.

Michael Gibson BVMS MRCVS ACIArb

We are pleased to be able to report that Michael has made a very good recovery from the small stroke he suffered in February. Michael and Trish would like to thank all clients who have expressed their best wishes. Until Michael’s return, Roger and Alice will continue to cover all practice calls.
